At Aqua Star, we believe in making rainwater harvesting accessible to everyone. That’s why our innovative uPVC rainwater gutter is not only designed for efficiency but also for a smooth and hassle-free installation process.
Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:
1. Planning and Preparation: Setting the Stage
A successful installation starts with a well-defined plan. Our team will work with you to map out the gutter layout based on your roof structure.
We’ll ensure all the necessary equipment is readily available before commencing the installation.
2. Bracket Fixing & Slope Adjusting: The Foundation of Flow
Brackets act as the sturdy foundation for your gutters, securely attaching them to the purlin (the horizontal beam supporting your roof).
At Aqua Star, we basically offer three types of brackets to cater to different needs:
1. GI Steel Bracket
This robust option is welded directly onto the purlin for maximum strength.
2. uPVC with Steel Extension Bracket
This versatile bracket is attached to the purlin by welding. Furthermore, it can be used for wood and walls. And, a clipping mechanism is used to attach it to the gutter
3. Inner Steel Bracket
Designed specifically for our 160mm gutters, this bracket offers a unique advantage – it remains invisible from the outside, maintaining a clean aesthetic. This as well is fixed to the purlin by welding.
Our gutter design ensures that it’s in a way that the bottom of the roof sheet won’t exceed 50% of the gutter’s width. This allows for efficient water flow through the remaining of the gutter channel. We ensure this because if the end of the sheet goes beyond 50% of the gutter width, it can lead to water overflow.
3. Gutter Fixing: Choosing the Perfect Channel
Next is the step where we fix the gutters onto the brackets.
Aqua Star gutters come in three sizes, each perfectly suited for different roof water volumes:
- 160mm gutter with 75mm outlet: Ideal for smaller roofs or areas with moderate rainfall.
- 220mm gutter with 110mm outlet: The mid-range option, suitable for most residential and commercial applications with more than 2000 sq. ft.
- 320mm gutter with 140mm outlet: Designed for large roofs with more than 8000 sq. ft. This is also used for valley applications – a type of application where 2 roofs of common length are combined.
4. Accessories Fixing: Completing the System
Now, we install various accessories to ensure a comprehensive and functional rainwater harvesting system.
This includes:
- Elbows
These connect gutters at corners, ensuring a seamless flow path for rainwater.
- Runner Drops & Elbow Drops

These channel water from the gutter down to the ground, with the elbow drop specifically designed for corners.
- Stop Ends
These close off the ends of gutters.
- Stop End Drops
The drop variant allows controlled rainwater discharge at the gutter’s edge.
- Runners (Joint)
These connect two gutters for extended coverage.
- Leaf Guards
These prevent leaves and debris from entering the gutter system, minimizing maintenance needs.
For a watertight seal and to prevent leaks, we use high-quality weatherproof silicon sealants during accessory installation.
5. Down Piping Fixing: Directing the Downpour
As the final step, we fix Downpipes at the drops. This helps to filter and channel the rainwater to your desired harvesting system.
Similar to accessory installation, weatherproof silicon sealers are used to ensure a secure and leak-proof connection.
